Aurellan Global Shares Fund
Expert managers. Independently selected.
The global share market is a big place, comprised of thousands of stocks across dozens of developed and emerging markets. It is a sector where many try to beat the benchmark and fail.

One of the uniting beliefs in founding Aurellan, was to identify a way that New Zealand investors can get access to the world's best managers to give them the best possible chance of success. To help us identify who we believe are the best managers, we engaged Wilshire after searching the world for a global partner with a long and successful track record of identifying investment managers at an early stage. You can find more detail on how they do this in the below video where we talk to Wilshire's Head of Manager Research, Rob Noe, who helped us build the Fund.
Once we identified the managers, none of whom were accessible via other NZ registered funds, we appointed them to run bespoke mandates for Aurellan clients. Then, we decided to do something we have never seen in New Zealand before and disclose Aurellan's portion of the total annual fund charge. For investors this means:
-
Aurellan is incentivised to pick who we, and Wilshire, believe are the best global managers and change these managers if they are not performing as expected, or if there is a change in their team or structure, we are not comfortable with.
-
Investors receive the scale benefits as the fund grows and if we appoint a manager with lower fees, then the investors get the benefit, not Aurellan.
