Aurellan has a partnership with Wilshire Advisors LLC "Wilshire" within the New Zealand market. Wilshire was founded in 1972 in Santa Monica, CA with around 300 staff globally and offices in the USA, UK, Singapore, the Netherlands, Hong Kong and China.

We are not affiliated with any investment banks, brokers nor do we employ our own investment teams, allowing us to build portfolios which utilise specialist managers and strategies which Aurellan and Wilshire believe are truly the best fit and most appropriate.

Our partnership with Wilshire
In establishing Aurellan we searched the world for a partner with global expertise which spanned across public and private markets. We selected Wilshire because they truly understand the meaning of a partnership. Their average client tenure is 17 years, with many client relationships spanning decades. They are called upon for advice by some of the world's largest institutional investors and family offices.

What the partnership means for our clients is that when we are building your portfolio, we do so, by utilising Wilshire's global research and utilising their technology to build your portfolio. Aurellan is your gateway to their scale, which spans across offices from the USA, through Europe and across Asia. It means that your investment universe is not limited to the strategies which we can research here in New Zealand. Wilshire scours the globe to identify managers with a process which starts from screening the tens of thousands of managers on their global database.

Global expertise with local knowledge
We built Aurellan based on our strong belief that portfolio management in New Zealand can be done better. New Zealand's unique tax system means that many strategies and solutions like Australian Unit Trusts, Listed Investment Trusts and Exchange Traded Funds (to name a few) which work well globally, are not optimal vehicles for many New Zealand investors. That is one of many examples we can cite that prove it is a blend of global expertise and domestic knowledge that is optimal when constructing portfolios for clients.
